Arriving to Life & Passing Life On

artist julie dillon (2)

This module looks at systemic issues surrounding fertility, pregnancy and parenthood, including:

  • The conditions for passing life on
  • Woman’s & man’s role in reproduction; how to live them harmoniously
  • To become a parent or not: whose decision is it any way
  • Infertility & inability to conceive
  • Passing life on for childless persons
  • Issues for heterosexual and homosexual couples
  • Unwanted pregnancies & abortions
  • Dealing with a loss of pregnancy / loss of a child / vanished twin
  • IVF, fertility and technology
  • Concealed fatherhood, adoptions and step-parenting
  • Birth – a passage into Life

How do we allow life to come to us through our mother and through our father and through our ancestors regardless of anything that happened in our family system? How do we connect with the life line coming to us from afar? How do children arrive and how not? How to be fully alive and how to assist others to arrive to life? How to give a proper place to the unborn?

These and other issues we will explore through experiential processes and participants’ issues.

Experiences from the workshop  “Passing Life On”

Istanbul, December 2019

We have realized that to pass life on, we have to arrive to life first, we have to say YES to our life with all the circumstances through which it reached us.

We had the womb represented and saw what systemic conditions make it healthy and ready to conceive, calling for the new life to come.

We understood that the mind is willing, but the body is wise, and that passion serves Life.

We saw how ancestors are excited about a new life coming and waiting eagerly to set their eyes on a newborn in their system.

We have seen how the deceased ancestor who gave the child away wants nothing else but for that child to live and to pass life on.

We looked at the systemic dynamics behind infertility, early menopause, and illnesses which prevent us from conceiving.

We faced the serious effects of abortion on our lives, and realized how deeply they go, for a woman, for a man and the siblings.

We considered the role of technology in procreation process and explored the motivation for adoption, and their systemic consequences.

We had a glimpse of the prenatal dynamic between twins in the womb, which sometimes turns into a survival struggle as they fight for space and their chance to come into the world. And we have seen the consequences when one of them vanishes, seemingly without a trace.

We saw how the rejection of a mother closes all doors for us.

We let ourselves experience the greatness of mothers who, together with our fathers, passed Life onto us, our blessed Life, the greatest gift of all.
